ViewModel updating exception

Feb 19, 2011 at 8:29 PM

I am trying to use the fibre library to filter a long list of items that are in a ViewModel so that it doesn't block the UI thread (this is on WP7) but am getting an UnauthorizedAccessException when trying to access some of the propeties, presume this is because the ViewModel was created on the UI thread.

Can anyone give me any pointers how to overcome this.  Should I be creating the ViewModels on a background thread and then letting the Notify change stuff let the View know when things have changed?  WOuld I be able to bind to the ViewModels if I did this?

Thanks,
Rupert.
